In the summer of 2023, Mallory co-founded Dark Village Publications with a friend. Their first publication was a horror anthology, titled Dark Village. Mallory took lead on reading through hundreds of submissions from new and established authors, settling on 27 authors from around the world, including a NYT Best Seller and rising literary stars. She edited every story, formatted for print and digital book release, and did the cover design.

It was released to great acclaim, even garnering a nomination for Best Indie Horror Book of the Year, and Best Cover of 2023.
